A SPECIAL MESSAGE CONCERNING

BOOK DONATIONS TO THE LIBRARY

First and most important, we want to thank all of you who have through of the library and brought in books to donate to our collection.  We truly appreciate your gifts.

However, we unfortunately cannot always use what you bring us.  Our collection is dedicated to books of Jewish content and/or Jewish interests, whether they be fiction or non-fiction.  Because we have limited space, we tend not to keep duplicates.  And lastly, we usually do not keep books that are outdated in subject matter or style.

If you leave books while we are not in the library, please understand we will look at them very carefully, and after evaluating them will either add them to our collection or give them to the Religious School for its used book sale.  If you prefer to have us return the books to you if we cannot use them, leave us a note and we will do whatever you wish.

Again, thanks to all of you who have given us books.

Inheritance by Natalie Danford

The story begins with the death of Luigi Bonocchio, an Italian immigrant whose daughter, Olivia, finds a deed to a house in Urbino, Italy, the hometown he barely spoke about, among his possessions. Olivia travels there and when she tries to investigate the mysterious deed, she is met with a puzzling silence. Luigi tells his part of the tale directly to the reader as the chapters alternate between Olivia’s search and Luigi’s account of his history. It is a skillfully constructed book.
