Cantor

Raina Siroty

as the newest member of our congregational family

Cantor Siroty grew up in Beverly Hills, California and always loved to sing. She received her Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of California Santa Barbara, graduating with highest academic honors. Raina has earned many awards in national vocal competitions and received numerous academic and performance scholarships. Raina was a principal member of UCSB's Opera Theater Workshop and toured France in the UCSB chamber choir. Raina started her cantorial studies in 2002 in the Mechina program at Los Angeles campus of Hebrew Union College and worked at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles during her summers in cantorial school. She has served as the student Cantor at Temple Beth El of Huntington, NY, Sinai Reform Temple in Bay Shore, NY and for the past two years at Temple Beth Miriam in Elberon, New Jersey.
